Africa Covid-19 Tracker

I took on the lead role of designing a platform that relayed information in an easy to read format while avoiding the cognitive overload that is frequently experienced in dashboard design. I used visual design techniques to create a web interface that was clean, following the grid system to present the different information visualizations in a structured way.

BBC AFCON other winners interactive

I developed the interactive by structuring the information in a format that football fans can relate to, mimicking the group match knockout schedule to pit countries against each other, based on the different categories being examined.

I doubled as producer and UI/UX designer to execute and design an interactive on the Human Papillomavirus, that would appeal to young African audiences and at the same time provide crucial sexual and reproductive health information.

BBC News Locust 2020 upsurge interactive

The project was a collaboration with a remote team of journalists, visual artists, developers and a project manager based in BBC’s London headquarters. I built on the wireframe provided to develop the user interface, structuring the content to facilitate a clear and linear narrative storytelling format, using visual hierarchy and the similarity principle to create an intuitive user flow when reading the article.

The project was a collaboration with a remote team of journalists, designers, developers and a project manager based in BBC’s London and Lagos offices. I took the role of lead UX designer to develop a visual identity and the main result page, live result component and presidential profile component.
